Ronnie Rowe

Ronnie Rowe was a Canadian actor who made a name for himself in his home country before migrating across the border to appear in a new installment of the most popular sci-fi TV franchise in history. Born on December 16, 1980 in Toronto, CA, Rowe was the child of Jamaican immigrants. He became interested in acting in grade school, where he appeared in a number of school musicals, including The Sound of Music, Oliver Twist, Grease, and The Wizard of Oz. In high school, he played basketball and briefly flirted with a career in modeling, but acting was to be his true calling. After appearing in the short films "Erasermen" (2012) and "The Assistant" (2012), Rowe landed his first high profile TV gig, enjoying a two-episode arc on "The Firm" (NBC/AXN, 2012), the short-lived TV sequel to the John Grisham novel and 1993 film of the same name. After that series was cancelled, Rowe continued to work in TV, appearing on such programs as "Warehouse 13" (Syfy, 2009-2014), "Murdoch Mysteries" (CBC, 2008-), "Saving Hope" (CTV, 2012-17), "Riftworld Chronicles" (CBC, 2015), "Rogue" (Audience, 2013-17), "Dark Matter" (Syfy, 2015-17), and "The Strain" (FX, 2014-17). Rowe made his feature film debut in 2017, starring in the indie crime drama "Black Cop" (2017), while also scoring his breakout TV role, playing Bryce on the highly anticipated sci-fi reboot "Star Trek: Discovery" (CBS All Access, 2017-).
