A pointless movie that went nowhere, and the ride to get there was dull and slow. Sure, there were a couple of crazy moments....maybe 5 interesting minutes out of the whole movie. Don't waste your time...there is nothing to get out of this movie besides the feeling it has just wasted your time.

The simplistic explanation of this movie is that it's a reverse racist treatise in which a black cop profiles and abuses white people who have committed no crimes. Taken as satire, that in itself is actually pretty funny. But in spite of some humorous moments, _Black Cop_ is not a comedy or a satire. It's serious as a heart attack. It's really about a black man who is losing his sanity as a result of systemic racism. Filmmaker Cory Bowles does not take sides or expect us to sympathize with the cop (played ferociously by Ronnie Rowe). He is simply showing us how poisonous racism is and what it can do to our heads. It's a shame that indie movies like this never make it into the mainstream theaters. _Black Cop_ deserves a wide audience. A bold film, highly recommended.

Movie shows the implicit bias of whites when dealing with blacks and the position of entitlement and liberty they have with law enforcement.. as opposed to their black counterparts.. nothing he did was good, but it was fair.. I loved it

Acting was good and seemed to match documentary style filmed. I got the plot and then it was a little slow moving then it hits ya. Def uncomfortable at times when slpped in the faec with the double standard.

Great movie. Excellent acting and an all too real look at they way African Americans have historically been treated by the police. Anyone that says it's 'ignorant material' or 'garbage' is in complete denial of reality. Hope to see more from Cory Bowles.

Some of the symbolism and satire is a bit clunky or far too on-the-nose, but mostly Black Cop shows us the tragic fall of a man who hits his breaking point and becomes determined to similarly break the community he's sworn to protect.
