Rutledge Wood
With his unparallelled knowledge of all things car related, Rutledge Wood made himself an indispensable presence in the world of auto racing coverage. Born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Georgia, Wood grew up around his father's business-which involved buying, repairing, and selling cars. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Wood began following the NASCAR circuit for a marketing campaign by CMT. By 2009, he was co-hosting "The Speed Road Tour Challenge" (Speed-TV, 2007-). Two years later, the network hired him to cover NASCAR full time. His personality and acumen soon caught the attention of producers at the History Channel, and in 2010, Wood came on board as a co-host of the network's American edition of the popular British car series "Top Gear" (History Channel, 2010-), which proved to be a massive success. Wood would also compete in celebrity auto races during much of this time, winning the Long Beach Toyota Celebrity Race in 2013. In 2015, Wood landed his own series, "Lost In Transmission" (History Channel, 2015-), a show that found him traveling throughout his native Georgia, finding and repairing classic vehicles. That same year, Wood was brought on board by NBC Sports as a motorsports reporter and NASCAR analyst.
