Scott Peters's big credit is as writer and creator of "The 4400," an enigmatic series in the vein of "Lost" about the reappearance of 4400 missing people on a single day. The show, which ran for four seasons, starred Jacqueline McKenzie, Joel Gretsch, Conchita Campbell and Chad Faust. Peters got his start in television writing several episodes of "Highlander," based on the 1986 feature film starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery, concerning a race of immortal warriors who reside on earth. In later years, he continued to explore fantastic scenarios in his work. Peters contributed to seven episodes of the paranormal series "Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction" from 1997 to 1998. In 1998, Peters wrote the television movie "Lost Souls" and started writing for "The Outer Limits," doing six scripts for that spooky anthology series. After "The 4400" ended its run in 2007, the next year Peters directed one episode of the sci-fi series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Peters also helped to develop the alien drama "V."
