Studs Terkel was an actor who was no stranger to being featured in numerous film roles throughout his career. Terkel began his acting career with roles in such films as the Pete Seeger documentary "The Weavers: Wasn't That a Time!" (1981), "East to West" (1982) and "Long Shadows" (1988). He also appeared in the sports drama "Eight Men Out" (1988) with John Cusack. In the eighties and the nineties, Terkel devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Eyes of War," "The Man Who Beat the Blacklist... John Henry Faulk" (PBS, 1989-1990), "The Civil War" (PBS, 1990) and "Harry Bridges: A Man and His Union" (1992). Terkel had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties and the early 2000s, including "Riding the Rails" (1997) starring Jim Mitchell, "The Big One" (1998), "Look out Haskell, It's Real! The Making of 'Medium Cool'" with Haskell Wexler (2001), "A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin" (2005) and "Tell Them Who You Are" with Haskell Wexler (2005). Terkel last acted in the documentary "Sacco & Vanzetti" (2007) with John Turturro. Studs Terkel passed away in October 2008 at the age of 96.
