In 1997, writer and producer Sue Tenney started writing for the family drama "7th Heaven." The Aaron Spelling-produced series followed the trials and tribulations of the Camden family, headed by minister father Stephen Collins, as he and his wife raised seven children. The show found a receptive audience in conservative-minded viewers, and Tenney stayed with the series from 1997 to its close in 2005, writing over 50 episodes. It was marvelously steady work for the writer, especially considering that her sole script credit before "7th Heaven" was for the fearsomely short-lived sitcom "Love and Marriage," starring Lisa Rieffel and Andy Mackenzie (only two episodes aired). Tenney was also a sometime co-producer, supervising producer, and co-executive producer for "7th Heaven" during its long run. After the good-natured show went off the air in 2007, Tenney served as a writer and then a co-executive producer for the series "Life is Wild," about a veterinarian who moves his family to the wilds of South Africa.
