Sunny Hostin

American television host, journalist, author and lawyer Sunny Hostin was born in New York City, to a Puerto Rican mother and an African American father. Hostin began her career in law, later becoming a federal prosecutor, and eventually started appearing on TV, debating law. In 2014, she moved on to become a guest contributor in "The View" (ABC, 1997- ) and by 2016 she had secured her place as a permanent co-host in the show. Hostin also made a cameo as herself in the film "Girls Trip" (2017) and hosted the series "Have You Seen This Man?" (Hulu, 2021-22). She has since ventured into writing, releasing her memoir and a novel, and became an executive producer for the show "The Counsel" (Fox Entertainment, 2022-23), which was inspired by her own life and career.
