American singer-songwriter, actor and TV personality Syleena Johnson received wide critical acclaim throughout her entire music career for her distinctive sensibility and storytelling capabilities. Her albums "Chapter 1: Love, Pain & Forgiveness" (2001), "Chapter 2: The Voice" (2002), and "Chapter 3: The Flesh" (2005) were all well received by specialized critics, with "Chapter 2" being voted among the best Soul Albums of the 2000s and "Chapter 3" being considered by some one of the best albums released that year. Johnson went on to collaborate with Kanye West on his single "All Falls Down", from West's debut album "The College Dropout" (2004), for which she became more widely known. "Chapter 4: Labor Pains" (2009) was also well-received and Johnson was praised for offering some of the decade's most stirring R&B. During the 2010s, she starred in the reality series "R&B Divas: Atlanta" (TV One, 2012-14). Johnson kept working on her music, releasing four more albums from 2011 to 2020, and once again being featured by Kanye West in his tenth album, "Donda" (2021).
