William Watson
William Watson was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Watson started off his acting career mostly in film roles, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "In the Heat of the Night" (1967) with Sidney Poitier, the western "Chato's Land" (1971) with Charles Bronson and the Burt Lancaster western "Lawman" (1971). He also appeared in the horror movie "The Hunting Party" (1971) with Oliver Reed. He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Roots" (1976-78). He also starred in the TV movies "The Marcus-Nelson Murders" (CBS, 1972-73) and "Man on the Outside" (ABC, 1974-75). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Executive Action" (1973) and "The Passover Plot" (1976). Watson focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Christopher Mitchum action movie "Stingray" (1978), the Dudley Moore comedy "Wholly Moses!" (1980) and the Lee Horsley action flick "The Sword and the Sorcerer" (1982). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Down Home" (CBS, 1977-78). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Contender" (CBS, 1979-1980). Watson more recently acted in the comedy sequel "It's Alive III: Island of the Alive" (1987) with Michael Moriarty.
