      William Squire was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his career. Squire's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Alexander the Great" (1956) with Richard Burton, "The Man Who Never Was" (1956) and the dramatic adventure "A Challenge For Robin Hood" (1968) with Barrie Ingham. He also appeared in the Richard Burton dramatic adaptation "Where Eagles Dare" (1968). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) and the Robert Powell mystery thriller "The 39 Steps" (1978). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Les Miserables" (1978-79). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the biopic "Testimony" (1988) with Ben Kingsley. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Richard Burton: In From the Cold" (1989-1990). Squire last appeared in "Rumpole and the Quality of Life" (1989-1990).
