Alec B Some good performances to be sure but mostly this movie is just sort of going through the motions. If they had kept the screenplay more in line with the original play this might of at least been more unique. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Leaburn O This film was pretty good 👍🏼 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/23 Full Review Audience Member You can tell it is based of a play as it is very melodramatic at times. The performances are good but they don't have much to work with. If you like movies about royalty u will prob like this film, altho there are far better ones out there. At times it was boring and slow. It also didn't make much sense at times. The costumes are beautiful and so are the people. Meh passes the time I guess. Very interesting tho how queen elizabeth came from this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful costumes. Overlong and pretencious Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/08/21 Full Review Audience Member Томаты реально протухли. На моей памяти это как минимум 2й раз, когда они внаглую чистят отзывы пользователей. TIME Magazine It is a story fit for the second Elizabeth, though it has perhaps one minor fault: the first two hours. Mar 23, 2011 Full Review David Parkinson Empire Magazine Some plucky performance don't manage to embue this historical drama with the regal spectacle the source material deserves. Rated: 3/5 Mar 23, 2011 Full Review Variety Staff Variety Anne of the Thousand Days is a stunning-acted, sumptuous, grand-scale widescreen drama of the royal bed chamber and political intrigues that created the Church of England. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins As a study of historical figures morbidly clashing over sovereignty, the film is certainly educational and a fine reproduction of 16th-century events. Rated: 6/10 Aug 9, 2023 Full Review Penelope Houston The Spectator It's all court flummery, simplified Tudor connivings, Anthony Quayle looking like a querulous crayfish. Jul 9, 2018 Full Review TV Guide A superbly acted costume drama. Rated: 4/4 Mar 23, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews
