Windsor Davies was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Davies's career began by acting in comedies like "The Alphabet Murders" (1965) with Tony Randall and "Arrivederci, Baby!" (1966). He had an early role on the television special "Murder Is a One-Act Play" (ABC, 1973-74). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies, appearing in "Carry on Behind" (1975) with Elke Sommer, the musical comedy "Mr. Quilp" (1975) with Anthony Newley and "Not Now, Comrade" (1977). He also appeared in "The Playbirds" (1978). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "Vanity Fair" (1999-2000). Davies's distinctive voice can be heard on "Terrahawks" (1984-85). Most recently, Davies appeared in "Gormenghast" (2000-01).
