Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The dialog adopts a militantly feminist position, but the actresses recite it wearing miniskirts and see-through blouses (on those occasions, indeed, when they bother to dress at all). Rated: 1/4 Jul 6, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Horror fan 4 A revenge story that could've been great but the acting and fight scenes were at times laughable. Still it was good to see women sticking up for themselves. Tim Treakle Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/20/24 Full Review Steve D Too exploitive and poorly acted to work. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I said sing jingle bells! Linda is raped by a serial rapist in an orange jump suit and hockey mask. She doesn't receive any sympathy from the police or her boyfriend. She discovers some other women have been raped by the same serial rapist. She meets up with them and forms a rape squad obsessed with stopping rape and capturing the serial rapist. "I think you should say thank you Mr. Rapist for choosing me." Bob Kelljan, director of Count Yorga, Vampire; Scream Blacula Scream; The Return of Count Yorga; Beach Patrol, and episodes of the television series Dukes of Hazzard, Charlie's Angels, and Starsky and Hutch, delivers Act of Vengeance. The storyline for this picture is well laid out, but kind of bland and straightforward. The acting is okay and the cast includes Jo Ann Harris, Jennifer Lee, Peter Brown, Stanley Adams, and Steve Kanaly. "I hope that faggot rips off your clothes and sodomizes you." I came across this on Netflix and decided to add it to the queue since it looked like a cool, old school grindhouse picture. This was fun to watch, and fairly campy, but nothing special and far from a must see or classic within the genre. I only recommend seeing this if you adore grindhouse films. "How do you feel about forming a rape squad?" Grade: C Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member 74% The rapist/murderer is memorable, as he dons a hockey mask and jumpsuit that predates the serial killer known as Jason. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This exploitation film is so misguided, so repugnant there's no joy to be found in it. One scene with two guys who think rape is funny is so absurd, but so tasteless that you can't even laugh. A film about rape victims forming a vigilante group isn't a bad plot for a exploitation film, but this got it so incredibly wrong it had to have been made by a misogynist fetishist. There's no empowerment here, simply degrading dehumanizing actions and a heroine who gets fortuitous at the end. Horrendous execution. Jo Ann Harris and the rest of the cast give it their all however, which is kind of depressing. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad - some intriguing elements.
