xpig332 B Not particularly funny, pretty stupid, but somewhat interesting. It's OK at best. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review gary d I was not expecting too much from this remake, but it still managed to disappoint. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review dave s Loosely based on James Whale's film from the early 1930s, William Castle's version of The Old Dark House tries to approach things from a clever and witty Agatha Christie angle but instead just comes across as stupid. Other than some really nice sets and passable performances, nothing really works. The plot is ridiculous, the humor falls flat repeatedly, and there are so many unnecessary plot points (was the rebuilding of Noah's ark really necessary?) that the movie actually becomes acutely annoying. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Nadya R Disappointing. Love Tom Poston and Robert Morley! But, their talents are wasted here. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/05/21 Full Review Audience Member This picture was so unfunny, so unscary, so horrible, that I wished I was one of the murder victims. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review joe m Mildly amusing comedic take on the old English haunted house with a quirky family and an American as their foil. That broad, English humor a la Benny Hill and "Are You Being Served?". Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
