Apr 29, 2009 Full Review Johnny Butane Dread Central A small film like Dead End sneaks in and manages to floor pretty much everyone that's seen it. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 1, 2006 Full Review Brian Mckay eFilmCritic.com There's great promise in Dead End, and a script that is often clever, combined with a carload of decent actors, really helps cover a multitude of flaws. Farah R I was deceived into believing this was a good movie by the ratings. Dead End is disjointed, dull, and dumb. If you've got the patience to watch it all through, the ending might make the time spent a little worth it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Logan D A disfunctional family on the way to grandmother's house on Christmas Eve takes a treacherous shortcut. A clever film that just falls short of being able to convey it's idea rewardingly, mainly for the copout ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review JJJJJJ J Overstays its welcome. Once you know the premise to some extent you are just waiting for the next one to go. Or something to happen. The last bit they spend a bit too long dabbling around when everyone knows they are going to just die. Other than that fairly okay. This film has that 2000s aesthetics too and works it well. Not trying to do too much. Definitely middle of the road worth a skip unless your studying wrong turn films or something... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Rodney G Thank you for adding this film to your line up Shudder. I loved it. Ray Wise fans rejoice. This is so funny and weird. A+ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/23 Full Review tim s During Christmas Eve a family of four plus the daughters boyfriend take a road trip to a relatives house and end up travelling along an unfamiliar road. As the journey progresses things become disturbingly strange when they encounter a woman and baby. Slowly the passengers realise that the road does not seem to end, instead it seems to keep looping back around to points they have already travelled before. Meanwhile a rather suspicious car seems to be following them which both unnerves and angers the family in equal measure.  " Dead End"  is a satisfying supernatural film that has dark humour and some gross out moments. Both Ray Wise and Lin Shaye are excellent in their roles as the parents, particularly as the film reaches its horrifying conclusion.  Despite many since similar premise movies," Dead End" still manages to retain an element of shock that stays with its audience for a long time after. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Liam D A truly underrated horror movie full of great macabre humour and frights Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
