Audience Member Good for what it is, which is nothing more than a movie about sneakers. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This was not what I expected though it was still good. This documentary traced the role that sneakers have played in the NYC hip hop culture through the 1970s through today. I was flabbergasted by the amount of attention people payed to their laces ALONE. I enjoyed listening to Run DMC's homage to Adidas and how that started a marketing firestorm, when in reality it was just a response to criticism that the way they wore their Adidas was negative because it mirrored the way shoes were worn in prison. The sneaker collectors were also something interesting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Very informative. I love my Nikes and my Jordan's and it's an interesting story behind them. Movie had a lot of cussing and would have been R if it were rated. Other than the bad language, very good documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Awesome documentary on old school hip hop x sneakers. Available on Netflix streaming. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member "i punch a cop in the face if he step on my shit."
