Critics Consensus

A funny, energetic satire of the paparazzi life and the entertainment industry, Delirious is another winner for indie helmer Tom DiCillo.

As always, Buscemi masters his portrayal of needy desperation, but he still makes Les admirable for his capacity to go with the flow. Go to Full Review

It is more than a rom-com and more than a buddy film. It is definitely a film that stands on its own. Go to Full Review

DiCillo's extended cut of Delirious holds up a microscope to the celebrity circus that still carries on. He dissects egos as fragile as glass and the pettiness that comes with fame. Go to Full Review

Delirious sizzles as long as it loiters in the R. Crumb universe of geeky losers who keep their homicidal urges at least barely in check. Go to Full Review

Scott E Oct 31 Pretty good. The chase for fame. See more revolver.0 8 @Revolver08 Sep 14 what starts as interesting setting later become generic romcom See more helder f 12/01/2024 This movie is all about Steve Buscemi, who plays a decadent paparazzo takes in a homeless as his personal assistant. The premise of the story is not bad, and the character played by buscemi is well developed - we understand his struggles and conflicts. The movie has a few great scenes, and a few great pieces of writing. But all in all it falls flat and is a bit amateurish. See more 12/17/2020 This should have been better than it is. A slightly fuzzy satire about fame and loyalty, it only really fires up when the ever-excellent Steve Buscemi is on screen. He plays a sleazeball paparazzo, always on the outside looking in, until a chance encounter with a sleepy hobo (Michael Pitt) offers him unexpected access to the celebrity A-list. It's fun while it lasts, but it's not as original or quirky as it wants to be, and a bit of a disappointment coming from Tom DiCillo. But Buscemi is great. See more 07/26/2016 Steve Buscemi fans, u should check this movie out. See more 07/16/2016 A nice little gem of a film. Loved every frame. This story resonated with me on many levels but needless to say packs an emotional punch. Highly recommended. See more Read all reviews
