Documentarian Rex (David Krumholtz) follows ruthless reality television producer Katy Courbet (Eva Mendes), a woman who will stop at nothing to revive the American Broadcasting Network's failing ratings -- and forward her own career. Bisquiteen T @RT65021124 Aug 20 I had to turn the volume down every time the lead actress spoke. Why did she have to YELL through the whole movie? She also seems to think she's in some high school production, at best community theater? And why is this gross woman constantly talking with her mouth full? Would've been decent with a decent lead. I've seen A Serbian Film and this woman (the actress, not the character) is far grosser and more ridiculous than anything in that movie. I would settle for her just NOT YELLING EVERY LINE. It started off kinda cheezy and I wasn't expecting it to get much better, but the last 30 minutes turned into a jaw dropping, sweating with anxiety, edge of your seat thrill. It was hard to watch and I had to pause it many times because my blood pressure redlined. This is not the kind of movie I would go around recommending because of it's subject matter, but I must shamefully admit that I enjoyed it. See more 05/13/2014 Highly recommend. Shot documentary style and from previews, presumably low budget. Intense plot that becomes more suspenseful with every minute. Great character development.
