Urban Cinefile Critics Urban Cinefile It's a sobering tale, where violence, guilt and lies fly their ugly flag, and first time writer director Daniel Krige captures the mood only too well, as we are drawn into the tragedy of the lives of the misfits. Jul 5, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Not exactly a bad film but I personally just didn't really enjoy watching it. It tackles some very serious issues surrounding drugs, sex, etc. but also focuses on some lighter issues such as friendship. Acting is probably the highlight as both Khan and Nathan are great as cousins Pete & Jerry. I've seen Khan in two serious roles like this now and he's quite impressive. Nathan Phillips never fails to impress and I've always liked him as a good Aussie actor. Gillian Alexy, who I've been lucky enough to of met, was also very convincing as tomboy Cheryl. Its a little slow moving and some of the scenes are quite boring, so it's probably only worth watching for the acting performances. Overall nothing special here so probably worth a miss. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This Aussie film is an honest and confident film that made me sit up and pay attention. To Daniel Krige's credit he has written and directed highly complex characters true to people who have experienced their youth in the western suburbs of Sydney. This film does not judge the characters it presents, but rather reveals people who are trying to do their best to "break the mould" with limited options for advancement. In this film such all-consuming passion accompanied by the bitterness of complete betrayal has the power to destroy everything in the end. I was extremely moved and impressed after watching this film, which is a rare experience in the current climate of Australian films, which tend to stereotype real people with comedic intent. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A harder version of 'one perfect day' and better, really thought provoking and not far from truth. however some poor character exploration kept it from its potential. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent gritty Aussie film Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Another horrible film about horrible people. Ugh. Anyone who thinks it is exaggerated need only catch public transport, sadly, there is plenty of people around like these. Realistic and well done. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Bleak unrelenting awsie bogan drama. Did i mention bleak? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
