The only U.S. Marshal assigned to Antarctica, Carrie Stetko (Kate Beckinsale) will soon leave the harsh environment behind for good; in three days, the sun will set and the Amundsen-Scott Research Station will shut down for the long winter. There’s nothing worse than a murder mystery whose twist you can see coming, and Whiteout gives away its secrets within the establishing scenes, making everything subsequent an incredible bore.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas de terror são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

I understand where the negative ratings and reviews are coming from, but I had a blast watching Whiteout with my sister. We loved the desolate setting, murder mystery, and all the unrealistic aspects of the story. It was fun, making it good, if only in my memory.

Com Carrie (Kate), uma atriz conhecida pelos filmes; Anjos da Noite, Van Helsing, Click,Pearl Harbor. Aqui ela faz o papel de uma delegada, mas na Antártida, em uma base. E quem iria acreditar em um homicídio ou vários homicídio na Antártida. Pois é isso depois que alguns pesquisadores encontrarem um avião russo que havia caído a mais de décadas atrás. E lá encontraram diamantes. E por isso ocorrem mortes, pela ganância. E com isso mais mortes ocorrem. Até perderam o ultimo avião antes do inverno, e para o retorno levará 6 meses de espera. E com cenas de suspense para descobrir quem é o verdadeiro assassino. Com cenas no meio da tempestade, dando um ar maior de suspense e boa atuações dos atores, ressalva para Kate pela boa atuação. Um filme que nos segura pelo seu suspense. Roteiro e enredo bons, e a ideia de fazer na Antártida foi criativa. Vale apena assistir? Sim recomendo. Nota: 8

I disagree with the general consensus. I found the movie entertaining and the threat and danger of the severe Antarctic environment the storyline was placed in convincing enough. Kate Beckingsale and Tom Skerritt were solid in their respective roles and the I had no issue with the pacing or plot. Underrated ! ✨
