This is one of my all time favorite movies, my husband and I watch it yearly at a minimum! I looked it up earlier and was STUNNED but how awful the reviews are!! Seriously, give it a chance. Also the comments saying it's a Burton rip off, I have NO clue where those are coming from because it's definitely not. If anything is was maybe inspired by the feel of Burton, but it isn't anywhere near close enough to say it "apes" the style.

This is sich an underrated movie. Every time i watch it i find something else to laugh at. It's a wonderful witty movie. That is valueable in teaching younger people a lot of values and right and wrong. The word play and situations are perfectly put together. One of my all time favourites!!

i think this reviewer on Google puts it best (Alexandra harenberg): is it a masterpiece? i wouldn't go as far as to call it that. but is it a fun and creative film? you bet. if you enjoy universal horror films, steampunk, and some really fun comedy, this is the film for you.
