I come back to this movie often. It gives a sense of dread and has some great twists. The story is horrible but believable and the acting is fantastic. Definitely in my top ten of it's genre.

I genuinely wanted to enjoy this film after hearing just how amazing it was, but after watching it, it was definitely overhyped. I was expecting a horror thriller but i think it would be better to think of this movie as a true crime documentary instead. It was a meh from me but still worth a watch. Take a chance on the movie but don't get sucked into all the hype.

Lake Mungo is the scariest movie/documentary I have ever seen in my life. I had to shut it off once at night and I don't get scared easily. I definitely recommend this movie/documentary!!!

If you're looking for a classic horror movie, this is not the place. While spoiling as little as possibl, what you will get is a heartfelt movie about a girl and her family with horrifying moments sparkled. You won't be shaking with fear, but the dread i certainly there. I won't forget this movie soon, and it probably needs a second watch to be truly appreciated but it is worth your while.
