Lake Mungo is a boring waste of time. I do not understand how it got high ratings on Tomato meter. Not only is it awful, but it is also one of the worst mockumentaries I have ever seen. It is not thrilling, exciting or compelling in the slightest. I recommend that you steer clear of this worthless garbage.

A decently told story. Hybrid movie between documentary and horror. Movie follows the story of a girl named Alice, which drowns in a swimming accident. The mannequin of her used in the movie is realistically good. I didn't liked however how movie is made. Ghostly images of her didn't appeared creepy as expected, also there wasn't a jumpscares. Overall it's like story for this girl, rather than horror movie, only thing good in the entire movie. Other is mediocre.

The only people who rated this higher had to have worked on the film. There was absolutely nothing horror about this. It had potential but dear lord in heaven do not waste your time. I would give a negative rating if possible. The fact this is on so many "must watch" and listed as scariest movie is just sad. If you need a good nap, then by all means put this on and enjoy. People rating higher should have to pay restitution for those that watched.
