Audience Member wow this movie was great, I thought it was good movie, I need it on DVD, I thought it was a great movie, it starred Mark Lester (Oliver), Patrick Mower (Rodney in Emmerdale) and Uschi Glas, it was a great movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review nick k Saw it as a child and did not like it at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review bill t Rather dark and grim telling of the novel (I've never read it, so I have no idea if this is true to the book) which features, yes, a horse, as it travels from owner to owner, it's life getting grimmer as time goes by. The ending is predictable but certainly not a weeper. Honestly, I'd think twice about showing this to kids as it shows sex, violence and bad language in a way that you wonder who this was made for. Rather odd. Splendidly acted though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie if you really like animals i guess. kinda a weird animal bonding thing going on in this one Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Anna Sewell's novel was a great nap-time downer...as an adult the story of this horse has made it's way into my heart. Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Presents its hero as a horse - nothing more - and the adventures befall her precisely because she doesn't have any conscious choice about how humans use her. This is faithful to the moral indignation of Anna Sewell...
