Audience Member Basically a blacksploitation Western with a bit of Blazing Saddles mixed in, Boss N****r is most notable for its' extremely liberal use of the 'N' word, as well other historically demeaning racial and ethnic stereotypes, chiefly in service of progressive minority empowerment. A trope-heavy storyline is enhanced through fairly successful injections of humor. A period curiosity to be sure. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie is badass Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Funky 70s blaxploitation western starring Fred Williamson and D'Urville Martin as a pair of very hip bounty hunter who take over as sheriff and deputy of a town of racist white folks in hopes of drawing out the villainous William Smith. Williamson is great, as always, but when you have my all-time favorite villainous character actor, William Smith, spewing hate at the top of his lungs, how can you go wrong. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member rlly funny io cried sometime Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member If This is How Blaxploitation Films Work, Make Mine a Double--Entertaining genre crossover heavily tipped towards the blaxploitation end!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The Hammer and sidekick as old West bounty hunters making themselves sheriff of a smalltown dominated by a person of interest (William Smith) carrying a price. A Blaxploitation and Western that may appeal to fans of both genres. Features Williamson playing the same self-assured individual we're accustomed to. Funky score separates this from countless Morricone-inspired Spaghetti Westerns themes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
