Bookstore owner and burglar Bernie (Whoopi Goldberg) is being blackmailed by corrupt cop Ray (G.W. Bailey), forcing her into her most ambitious job yet: a jewelry store heist she's woefully under prepared for. Things head south quickly when a murder occurs and Bernie is framed for the death. Now Bernie and her manic sidekick, Carl (Bob Goldthwait), have to clear Bernie's name so she can get back to her normal routine of selling books and stealing.

This caper comedy was alright. Whoopi Goldberg, Bob Goldthwait, John GOodman, Ann Desalvo, Lesley Ann Warren, James Handy, and the rest of the cast did a decent job in this movie. The plot to the movie was kind of funny and mysterious, but it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. If you haven't seen this movie yet, I would suggest that you don't check it out. In my opinion, you wouldn't enjoy it very much.

Synopsis
