matthias s Watching the 1979 "Captain America" is like witnessing a slow-motion train wreck, but less thrilling. The backstory change? A travesty! Gone is the soldier out of time; instead, we get a dull drifter. And don’t get me started on the costume: a glorified motorcycle helmet and a laughably transparent shield. The acting? Painfully wooden. It’s clear the budget was non-existent—special effects look like they were done in a high school drama class. The pacing drags like honey, with an underdeveloped script and characters flatter than cardboard cutouts. Expect lots of talking and barely any action. It's bad—really bad. I’d only recommend this to die-hard Marvel fans who, like me, need to see everything, even the disasters. Save yourself the disappointment and re-watch the 2011 "Captain America" instead.
