hugh g great movie. it has a few dramatic moments but other than that it is packed with action. it has lots of explosions and high speed chases. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/20/23 Full Review xEDx D What makes all the critics from 2005 onwards, the right to say this a bad film, where it had already been out of 20 years, its a really good film showing what the truckers had to go through to get stuff sorted, especially with the police, where RD had been caught in a police entrapment from pretty much the start, that started the whole thing, didn't they see what the film was actually trying to say ? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review S S '70s classic Kris Kristofferson enough said Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/22 Full Review Audience Member 1.5 stars of 5... I gave this a solid try and effort to like tonight and watched because many gave this a 70% rating off here. But what do they really know is the grand question???! (Maybe because there are so very few trucker movers out there!) The only good aspect this movie had going was its cinematography! The 3 C's were clearly represented... -Cheese ball! -Corny! -Crazy bad acting! At almost 2 hrs in running time it is best to do something else at the same time like fold some laundry perhaps or play some games on your cell or take out the dog for a quick walk/pee and come back because you will not miss anything! I guarantee it! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Possibly the greatest film of all time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member It was an alright movie, but it's definitely dated in terms of Sam Peckinpah's trademark slow motion fight scenes. Ernest Borgnine's character was the best part of the whole movie, as he was hilarious and almost anything he's in improves a little bit. Martha DuBose Sydney Morning Herald If one ignores the pompous script and its allegorical pretensions, Convoy is not bad entertainment. The stunt-work is excellent and the action sequences excitingly staged. Nov 21, 2023 Full Review Pauline Kael New Yorker It’s a happy-go-lucky ode to the truckers on the roads, a sunny, enjoyable picture. Sep 18, 2023 Full Review Kim Newman Empire Magazine A noisy but enjoyable destruction derby of a film. Rated: 3/5 May 12, 2017 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com Convoy is Vanishing Point with trucks, a nihilistic journey into the world of American individualism with a jaunty soundtrack. It’s a bad film, but it’s also an addictively watchable one… Rated: 3/5 Aug 2, 2022 Full Review Armond White National Review It’s a feel-good movie about American camaraderie going up against injustice and abusive, overreacting tyranny. Feb 17, 2022 Full Review Bernard Drew Gannett News Service There is the ghost of something here and if the film had had the courage of its convictions, it might have been something else, but as it stands now, it is simply an action movie but a pretty fair one.
