Creepy locals and strange behavior are the order of the day, and it's a very watchable, sleazy little affair. Rental! Whether you know it as Trauma, Expose or House on Straw Hill, the film is truly a nice little piece of Udo Kier history. The film plays much like a traditional thriller with aspects of giallo thrown into the mix. It isn't very gory though there are a few moments where we get to see some red stuff. Where the film tends to draw people in is due to the titillating story ;) With plenty of nudity and sexual situations brought forth through a bizarre tale of seduction, seclusion and sexual violence, House on Straw Hill, while not deserving of the UK ban, still manages to entertain a modern audience.
