Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault I gave my copy away, that's how bad it is. Didn't want it in the house, and would've felt guilty taking money for it. Rated: F Dec 1, 2022 Full Review Roger Birchall Starburst The film succeeds in capturing the brutally savage world of Frazetta's art, perfectly. Aug 2, 2022 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com ...best remembered as a technical breakthrough rather than a great work of storytelling... Rated: 3/5 Aug 1, 2021 Full Review Christopher Lloyd The Film Yap This animated fantasy from Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta is just a half-step above garbage, despite some cool elements. Rated: 2/5 Apr 6, 2020 Full Review Diego Galán El Pais (Spain) A classic style, dressed up in irony. [Full Review in Spanish] Sep 4, 2019 Full Review Rob Vaux Mania.com It fully conjures a universe that other movies had to infer with cheap sets and silly costumes. Tony K A primitive plot is hidden behind a great rotoscoping. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Devon B This film is basically Conan the Animation and although that does sound cool it's kind of boring to be honest. Nothing really happens that much throughout the film which is kind of a disappointment because I expected a better experience then what I got. With it's bad ass cover art you'd think things would be a little better but not really unfortunately. It's not a bad film but just boring. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/24/23 Full Review ross b Awesome to see Frazetta's artwork come to life. I first watched this film when I was a kid & was pulled into the world they created with the animation & music. I only wish it was longer. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Fire and Ice looks great, has solid performances, well-composed music, gripping battles and serves as paradise for people of all sexual orientations (especially if you're bisexual). There's some uncanny valley in the facial expressions every now and then but hey, that's rotoscoping for you. All in all, it's an underrated animated '80s gem, an entertaining Ralph Bakshi film and a movie that goes above and beyond being just a Conan ripoff with slightly higher fantasy...when you aren't busy jacking off to whoever gave you your first sexual awakening :p . Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review robert p Sorry, but I could not get into this movie, even though its animated by Frank Frazette and he's one of my favorite artists! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member So many nearly naked people... Half-naked hero, half-naked princess, half-naked villan... And all those nearly naked people follow a plotline which, allthough epic, is based on numerous riddiculous developments. On the other hand, backgrounds are great, and action sequences are also worth watching. But other than that... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
