This fantastical animated movie by cult filmmaker Ralph Bakshi finds the villainous Nekron and his mother, Queen Juliana, attacking the human race from their frigid fortress. Creating mass destruction with huge glaciers, Nekron and Juliana incur the wrath of Larn, a warrior whose entire village was destroyed by ice. When Nekron's underlings kidnap the beautiful Princess Teegra, Larn sets out to rescue her, assisted by the fierce and enigmatic Darkwolf.

This film is basically Conan the Animation and although that does sound cool it's kind of boring to be honest. Nothing really happens that much throughout the film which is kind of a disappointment because I expected a better experience then what I got. With it's bad ass cover art you'd think things would be a little better but not really unfortunately. It's not a bad film but just boring.

Fire and Ice looks great, has solid performances, well-composed music, gripping battles and serves as paradise for people of all sexual orientations (especially if you're bisexual). There's some uncanny valley in the facial expressions every now and then but hey, that's rotoscoping for you. All in all, it's an underrated animated '80s gem, an entertaining Ralph Bakshi film and a movie that goes above and beyond being just a Conan ripoff with slightly higher fantasy...when you aren't busy jacking off to whoever gave you your first sexual awakening :p .

So many nearly naked people... Half-naked hero, half-naked princess, half-naked villan... And all those nearly naked people follow a plotline which, allthough epic, is based on numerous riddiculous developments. On the other hand, backgrounds are great, and action sequences are also worth watching. But other than that...
