Jean-Michel C Well, you'll have a hard time finding a movie that is worse than this disaster. Bad acting, bad direction of course, laughable stunts, improbable story etc If you want to see cars and helicopters exploding by themselves that's the film to watch. Maybe it's supposed to be science fiction, in the end. As for Sophia Loren, she's the proof that even a prestigious cast can't take the whole production on its shoulders alone. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok action thriller with 3 good central performances but as usual Michael Winner uses a hammer to crack a nut and his editing skills leave a lot to be desired . If you can live with that it fills the time Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/01/18 Full Review Audience Member A great cast in a so-so movie. James Coburn plays an professional bounty hunter, Jerry Fanon, out to bring back a mysterious billionaire Kerl Stegner who is wanted by the U.S. Justice Department but cannot be extradited. Sophie Loren plays a former lover of Coburn's character, Adele, whose husband was killed by assassins hired by the Stegner. O.J. Simpson (yes, O.J. Simpson) is Coburn's partner Catlett. Eli Wallach is along for the ride. As usual, Coburn is very watchable and there are a few interesting plot twits but its not something I had not seen before. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Lacklustre action film despite a great cast. Coburn is sent to bring a rich and powerful pharmaceutical head back to the US to face charges from the justice department when extradition efforts prove fruitless. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member 1970s American tv film. Does have a cool shark scene. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I was feeling nostalgic about watching "Firepower" since it was filmed in my native St. Lucia and I watched Sophia Loren film a scene--first time! The images of St. Lucia are so pretty but the SOBs say it's Antigua. The script is confusing, the violence is cartoonish, acting is bad, Loren is pretty to watch and best at walking in a haughty manner. OJ gets blown up so the Simpson & Goldman families will be pleased. It's either a guilty pleasure for watching. Or, type of movie you watch over drinks; no need to follow the dialogue or turn up the sound, just watch the pyrotechnics. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Gary Arnold Washington Post Audiences in the Mood for action-packed junk are not cheated by "Firepower." If it's gratuitous, it's also energetic, an animated example of yahoo wish fulfillment. May 9, 2017 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com Firepower is notable only as a repository of disinterested performances and seemingly improvised quirks Rated: 2/5 Mar 22, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
