Audience Member Flood! is about what you would expect from an Irwiin Allen disaster movie from the 1970's. He seemed to be the reigning king of this particular genre, on both TV and at the movies. While this one doesn't have quite as many big names in its cast as some of the others and it isn't as much fun or as interesting, it's still worthy. You have Robert Culp and Cameron Mitchell, as well as Richard Basehart, trying to save this small town from being flooded all because of the mayor's reluctance to repair the dam keeping the waters from coming in. It's a recipe for disaster and there are some genuine laugh-out-loud moments to be had, but overall, it's not one of the best. It's watchable, but I think you have to be a little familiar with the actors involved to be interested, as well as a fan of the genre. Also keep an eye out for a young Barbara Hershey (if you want to... I personally don't care for her). Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I got really into this. It's cheesy and bad, yes, but also extremely enjoyable. Also, especially compared to it's delinquent "sister" film, Fire, this film actually packs a dramatic punch and has good special effects. If you love disaster films, see this. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
