Daniel W Excellent suspense film. Yes, it's dated. But, this is what true acting was without computer graphics. The cinematography is excellent. All the actors did a terrific job. Old style spooky castle, old English town; truly a suspense masterpiece. If your into film noir, then this is for you. Pizza, pop, and The Ghost. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/24 Full Review Audience Member Predictable plot with unimaginative twists, but its somewhat watchable for its classy horror feel. Drags on for a bit, picks up for a few places, and there are some nice gore moments though not many. Its worth the price of a cheap flick-set though. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightfully Uncanny Gothic Tale With the Wonderful Barbara Steele--Very good....and with a nice twist!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Mill Creek's 50 Movie Pack: Chilling Classics Reviews THE GHOST [1963]: An atmospheric Mystery Horror film starring Gothic Scream Queen Barbara Steele (BLACK SUNDAY [1960]) with an unbelievably generic title. Set in Scotland in the year 1910 where Margret Hitchcock (Steele) & her Lover kill her husband Dr Hitchcock to secure his wealth. Mrs Hitchcock is soon haunted by her late husband's spirit and is driven mad. With decent dubbing, Steele's always iconic presence and a great last minute twist on a seemingly typical Ghost story; THE GHOST is a good & enjoyable horror film. My rating is a solid 60%. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review don s Another poorly acted, low budget horror movie. The story is decent, however the "twist" is pretty easy to figure out. Steele doesn't act well but has very expressive eyes. Overly melodramatic in both dialogue and musical score. Not quite recommendable, but not far off. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Riccardo Freda's "Lo Spettro" aka. "The Ghost" of 1963 is yet another delightfully uncanny Italian Gothic Horror film starring the wonderful Barbara Steele (my favorite actress of the 1960's) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
