Steven P What can I say, I just liked it, I've seen a lot worse that were critically acclaimed and I think did not deserve it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/14/24 Full Review Chenoa It's super low-budget feeling and the dialogue is often a bit odd, but overall, I really enjoyed this film. Winkler and Field are charismatic and have a nice chemistry. The movie is about a Vietnam vet four years after the war, and it's fascinating and heartbreaking to see how those vets were treated at the time, and satisfying as hell to see Jack get his happy ending. A good thinker for sure. Winkler is flat-out riveting every moment he's on camera. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/24/23 Full Review Douglas P My Wife and I fell asleep, so let your conscience be your guide on this one. I would not recommend this movie. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/23 Full Review Brian Great performances by Sally Field and Henry Winkley. You also get to see Harrison Ford before he was famous. It's basically a quest movie where a troubled Vietnam Vet looks to reconnect with his old Army buddies. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/18/23 Full Review Mary S I had not seen this movie til tonight. I absolutely loved it! Henry Winkler was amazing in it. He and Sally Field were a perfect pair. That closing scene chocked me up and was very well acted. Rex Reed New York Daily News Henry Winkler has undeniable charm, but I wouldn't advise him to cancel his Fonz contract hastily. Jun 10, 2021 Full Review Susan Stark Detroit Free Press The same script that regularly strains credulity well past the snapping point also provides a jolly enough vehicle for both Winkler and Ms. Field to break away from type and show the movie audience what they can do. Jun 10, 2021 Full Review Charles Champlin Los Angeles Times There is some sense of a much smaller, calmer movie interleaved with larger moments, although there is an iron spine of consistency and an accumulating power which is even more evident on a second viewing. Jun 10, 2021 Full Review Rob Gonsalves Rob's Movie Vault Harrison Ford redeems the middle section of this tripe as a redneck vet who blows off steam by racing cars and shooting his machine gun at night. Rated: D- Nov 29, 2022 Full Review Jeanne Miller San Francisco Examiner The poorly written script by James Carabatsos and the weak direction by Jeremy Paul Kagan tend to obscure the charm of the two protagonists and to leave a viewer unmoved by their plight.
