      Audience Member Stick it where your mama never washed Three friends from Los Angeles head to Alaska in hopes of going from rags to riches. They become desperate and travel across Alaska robbing stores and people. The police quickly catch on to their ways and get hot on their trail. "I like you." "I can feel that." Joseph Ruben, director of The Good Son, Money Train, Sleeping with the Enemy, The Forgotten, Return to Paradise, and Our Winning Season, delivers Joyride. The storyline for this picture is okay but fairly cliché and straightforward within the genre. The action scenes are just okay and the acting is mediocre. The cast includes Robert Carradine, Melanie Griffith, Desi Arnaz, Tom Ligon, and Anne Lockhart. "What's a lot of money going to do to change our lives?" "I don't know. Let's find out." I came across this on Netflix and had to add it to my queue as a fan of the grindhouse genre. This was an average addition to the genre and really didn't add any new elements or fascinating characters that were iconic. I would rate this as just below The Van.
