Audience Member The Valvert is tangible. Amazing movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The fact that the actors weren't directed to have a more authentic French accents and the main character's step daughter having a forced love interest are the only true crimes to this book adaptation. The actors, music, camerawork and especially the writing make this a special story to witness. Good enough to have been released in theatres, but alas was only released on TV. Everyone is well cast and the story flows nicely. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member The best movie adaptation of this wonderful book. Richard Jordan and Anthony Perkins are excellent rivals. I only wish the DVD wasn't a shortened version of the movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member We love this movie and own it. My kids have watched it several times... just the kind of thing you want your kids to watch with a timeless message. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe it's just that this film was my first introduction to Les Miserables, but I was emotionally engaged by the acting of Richard Jordan and Anthony Perkins. I especially loved "The Bishop's Candlestick" scene. There is so much symbolism in this story by Victor Hugo of redemption, devotion, and love.
