steve d Afterschool special pretending to be a movie. Washington is the lone bright spot, though he is in it for like 5 minutes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member As far as made-for-TV films go License to Kill is better than the standard fare. The acting can be a bit overdone but never over-burdening. A chance to see a young Denzel Washington as the over-worked lawyer is a real treat and License to Kill brings up valid points on drunk driving while not being preachy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Trying to take Bond in to Lethal Weapon territory, not good! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member ITs like an after school special. Its well written and stuff but don't be fooled cuz Denzel is not the star at all. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review kevin w Altho marketed to capitalize on Denzel Washington's fame he, in fact, plays only a minor role in this TV movie dramatization about the evils of drunk driving. James Farantino and Don Murray are at odds as the leads here, one the father of a girl killed in a auto accident and the other as the drunk driver. Balanced yes though slow. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie was very real, with very real circumstances and events. Was very TV-ish (I think it was in fact MADE for TV)... I liked the story though - a father's determination to bring his daughter's death to justice. It made me understand just how painful and frustrating this situation can be.
