Audience Member For those of us who grew up watching Merv Griffin's talk show in the sixties, it was a treat to see his sidekick, Arthur Treacher, in his youthful prime dancing up a storm with Shirley Temple. The movie itself, though predictable, was fun to watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review christopher c. m A true classic. But is it perfect? No, there are still issues. Like I can't believe the cliché mean girl goes all the way back to the 30s. And like many movies back then it had pacing issues. But it is a great if slightly flawed classic. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review deke p It's SHIRLEY TEMPLE! Maximum 5 stars! Plus RICHARD GREEN, CESAR ROMERO, & ARTHUR TREACHER!. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review sarah w What an Excellent Movie The Little Princess is, This has got to be the Greatest Shirley Temple Movie ever released. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review steve d Sickeningly sweet but somewhat fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A whole new generation needs to see this classic! I love Shirley Temple. What a remarkable talent at such an early age. This film was in color and while I don't often agree with the decision to colorize in this case it added to the story. It touches a lot of emotional issues for Shirley, Mother deceased, father in the military, leaving India to fight in the Boer War which required Shirley to adjust to a new environment a boarding school in London with a great reputation but owned by a not-very-sympathetic woman. Of course Shirley meets all the problems confronting her in the best possible ways and becomes a friend of the other adults in the house, and two others nearby. who are very supportive. Wonderful Film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
