Scarlett B I personally did not enjoy the movie at all, it has terrible actors in my opinion. Can Hellen Keller at least put her hair up or cut it shorter so she doesn't have to flick it back every second. Why does she slap the table it's like there's a bug on it and she needs to kill it. I'm sorry for my dislike of the movie, but I'm just telling my opinion. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Couldn't finish watching it. The portrayal of Helen was just too awful and unrealistic. Patty Duke seemed out of place, playing the comedian in a drama. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I love Patty Duke but this was a remake that didn't need to happen. The original was much better and had that emotional drive. This was basically a shot for shot, line for line remake with only a few slight changes Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A truly heartwarming story for the whole family to watch. Mixed with hope, despair, and makes you realize what the true definition of family means. Also filled with a little fact here and there too. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Just as good as the original version from 1962. The casting coup is that Patty Duke played Helen Keller in the original and won an Oscar by the way, is Annie Sullivan in this version. Melissa Gilbert takes on the role of Helen. Strong acting throughout and worthy to stand by the original version. The story of how teacher Annie Sullivan taught deaf and blind Helen is truly inspirational.

Flixster - Share Movies

Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Features some good performances and brings me to tears at a few points. Not really a lasting memory though.
