Earl Keese (John Belushi) lives in an orderly house with his wife, Enid (Kathryn Walker), and daughter, Elaine (Lauren-Marie Taylor). His routine is disrupted when loudmouthed Vic (Dan Aykroyd) and his oversexed wife, Ramona (Cathy Moriarty), move in next door. Ramona and Vic subject Earl and his family to a bizarre dinner date and a near-death encounter in the front yard. Soon, Earl is ready to take drastic action to get rid of Vic and Ramona -- but he might lose everything in the process.

Eine Komödie aus den 80er Jahren mit schrägen Figuren. Vic (Dan Aykroyd) spielt einen verrückten Nachbarn welcher gerne andere Leute ärgert und auch leicht dumm zu sein. Der Film hat viele Anspielung auf Filmgenres und Filmklassiker u.a Psycho. Ramona verführt Earl dieser kann sich aber nicht entscheiden. Der Film bringt einem zum schmunzeln aber so oft musste ich nicht lachen. Trotzdem hat mir der Film gefallen es war leichter und schriller Humor. Die Nachbarn sind sehr überdreht und es passieren schriller Ereignisse. Für einen netten Filmabend reicht es. 6,5/10

Not quite as anarchic and wild as Blues Brothers, this James Belushi/Dan Aykroyd comedy does have its own charm and some quite amusing moments.

I love this movie. Absolutely hilarious. I think it defies what people expect of not just Ackroyd and Belushi, but what a comedy can be. It's dark, silly and hilarious.
