Helen Brown Norden Vanity Fair Although, personally, we have never joined up with those vast cohorts who cross themselves and start to gibber at the very sound of the name of Hepburn, we must in all fairness admit that [Spitfire] contains some of the finest work she has ever done. Steve D An absolute mess of over-acting Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/04/24 Full Review Shadowman4710 Katherine Hepburn is seriously miscast as a 17 year backwoods would be faith healer named Trigger Hicks in what is considered by many critics to be her worst film. It's really not all that bad but it's very, very dated and while her performance is fairly solid, it's not good enough to make this any more than a passable entry for hard core Hepburn fans. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/19/23 Full Review john m It was one of my favorite Hepburn films…..Please watch…Though Melodramatic, it was wort watching, Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A Hepburn gem.
