Logan M Don't let the rotten tomatoes audience score fool you. This is a suspenseful and fascinating mystery. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember a time when there was a whole cycle of films about stunt men (i.e. "Hooper," "The Fall Guy," "The Stunt Man," etc.) and I remember watching this film back in the day, but I'd forgotten much about it until TCM recently broadcast the film. Robert Forster plays a veteran stuntman who takes over as stunt coordinator on the film for his brother who died while on the picture. Like a lot of those films, a lot of the fun was getting to see the ticks of the trade and how the stunt performers were able to pull off the various gags. The mystery of how Forster's brother died isn't all that interesting, but the students are run to watch and the film features a strong cast that includes Fiona Lewis, Ray Sharkey, and Joanna Cassidy, along with character actors Bruce Glover, Richard Lynch, and H.B. Haggerty. The film's music was composed by Michael Kaman, who this was only his second film and who would later go on to score some of the biggest action films of the 80s and 90s. Nothing brilliant, but I was entertained. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member good hollywood insider tale and alot like 'the stuntman' Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This wasn't a terrible movie, but the ending just sorta brought the whole movie down to a very unsatisfying anticlimactic resolve. This is good for a rainy sunday when you can't find much else to watch, but is still a decent late 70s action drama films. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A contemporary B film. I have always had a soft spot for this or anything with RF (cough, Jackie brown) sample dialog ... this stinks, it stinks ... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Stunties investigate who's killing their own in this formulaic 70s actioner with a cultish cast but silly dialogue & no suspense.
