      Critics Consensus

Three Amigos! stars a trio of gifted comedians and has an agreeably silly sense of humor, but they're often adrift in a dawdling story with too few laugh-out-loud moments.

Donald L Loved this movie. Great actors and comedy throughout. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Paris V It's a classic built on the format of Seven Samurai, but a lot more fun. Enjoy the popcorn and a few good laughs delivered by comedy legends. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/24 Full Review alan g Fun movie. Great acting by three comedic actors at the top of their game. A little long winded at time but a good parody of early hollywood and westerns. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Angela G Always a comfort, feel-good movie. I used to watch it all the time with my dad, and we had the entire thing memorized. "You killed the invisible swordsman!" He even put our favorite parts on a cassette tape (early-mid 90's kid here). My dad passed away two months ago, and I can't help but wish I had watched this with him one last time. I don't think I've seen it in decades. Pagemaster and Three Amigos, those were our movies. So anyway. Nostalgia factor is huge, but also a cute and hilarious movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Lisa B One of my favourite movies watched it many times very funny escapism Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/30/23 Full Review Gregg S Absolutely hilarious! David Stratton Sydney Morning Herald If Three Amigos is disappointing, it's because the people involved have ail done better work in the past. But it's not all bad. May 27, 2021 Full Review Dave Kehr Chicago Tribune It's the laziness of the project that's finally most galling. Rated: 1/4 Apr 25, 2014 Full Review Patrick Goldstein Los Angeles Times [Three Amigos is] a goofy delight. It's like a cross between a big-budget Three Stooges movie and a Hope-Crosby road picture, with dozens of old cowpoke gags thrown in to spice up the brew.
