william k Chatty, wildly meandering satire has its moments, but only occasionally shows much wit, and generally outstays its welcome. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is so, so dated that it's practically unwatchable. Nearly everyone is self-consciously playing a silly caricature. It's all pink icing and no cake. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Actually a 1963 movie that sat on the shelf for six years. It should have stayed there. It is worth a watch only for the sake of seeing De Niro in his first feature film appearance, but just fast forward to his scenes because the movie is so bad it is almost torture to sit through. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the best commentaries on the horror of getting married. It has the incredibly deranged meet and greets with relatives and the fact that you are basically doing job interviews every time. The use of time is brilliant and original, you can clearly see it has had an impact on De Palma’s later films. The story develops quite well and makes you really get a sense of people, not just characters. For the time period and budget, it’s about the best possible movie you could ask for. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member directed by Brian De Palma, Wilford Leach and Cynthia Munroe Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
