Bob Thomas Associated Press Alice In Wonderland is one of Walt Disney's best efforts. He has adhered to the Lewis Carrol classic, adding enough Disney humor to make it a delight for all ages. Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) Carroll's dream logic seems to liberate the animators: everything is constantly transforming, including prim Alice herself. Sep 15, 2018 Full Review Time Out Disney's frantic take on Lewis Carroll may lack much of the book's illogical charm, but it does contain one of the great proto-psychedelic sequences in cinema. Dec 2, 2014 Full Review Carson Timar ButteredPopcorn Alice in Wonderland remains one of the most interesting and unique additions to Disney's early filmography. Beatrice B Alice In Wonderland (1951) is Disney’s most brilliant creation, by far. Its whimsy and charm pull you into a world of dreams and fantasy that you hope will never end. The alluring, vibrant colours add to the exciting thrill of the film, where every scene brings on a new adventure. Both in childhood and in adulthood, this film has captured my heart, completely. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review Jace E Full of absurdities and nonsense, Alice in Wonderland is an intelligent and self-aware film. Though a bit "out there" at times, the movie is still entertaining and mind-bending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/17/24 Full Review Nick S Charming, quirky, funny and a bit boring at times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review TWMax65 The animation and creativity that went into this movie's production for the early 1950s/late 1940s was very impressive and a very ambitious project for Disney back then I'd imagine. Sterling Holloway as the cat was a good part of the movie as well as the queen's presence and delivery. While it was a lot to take in and not exactly my favorite Disney movie, it's pretty hard to really hate it. Toward the beginning one could argue and easily notice that Alice's character is pretty dumb and hard to get behind/sympathize with, however it was all a dream in the end after all! I'm glad I gave this a second try, as I hadn't seen it since I was very little. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/24 Full Review Alex C This movie did nothing to combat my undiagnosed ADHD and I ended up browsing reddit for half of the movie.
