Tony Scott Variety The script by Pen Densham and M. Jay Roach lacks the cohesiveness of its predecessor; here, the enemy, instead of Nazi Germany, is a vague, threatening, fascist-like bunch called Earthcore. Audience Member Started off really well and has quality actors that could maintain this character driven movie. However, there was not enough creative ways to create tension among the survivors to keep the movie interesting, and the ending was sub-par. A disappointing movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review william k A sci-fi reimagination of Alfred Hitchcock's Lifeboat is OK as standard TV fare, but nowhere comes near the original. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is another great movie that has slipped through the cracks Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This sci-fi twist on Hitchcock's Lifeboat is surprisingly well executed for what is clearly a low budget TV movie. I enjoyed this, both as an homage and as a reimagining with its own spirit. My only gripe concerns the probability of artificial gravity on an ill-kept escape pod. All things considered, that's a pretty small and pretty specific gripe. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A strange Showtime late-night movie remake of Hitchcock's "Lifeboat", a close corner setting with eight survivors on a rudderless craft. It's adequately dark, substantially tense, and maybe a bit predictable, but I suppose I first saw it when I was twelve. Heinlein had a similar short story on the subject, this was an attempt to make this sort of "sci-fi without ray guns and explosions" work.
