David K Properly sanitized, this movie is one that gives you exactly what you want from the guy. That's okay in this instance because the good outweighs the bad and makes for an enjoyable time. That's all that it's supposed to do. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/23 Full Review Audience Member A biopic is certainly a picture but whether it's also a bio is usually debatable. In this case, some of the scenes in the movie approximate events in Sam Clemens' life, but how close Fredrick March comes to capturing the essence of Clemens' personality is anybody's guess. However, this is an big entertaining teddy bear of a movie, with a superior cast and a lovely, somewhat true story well told. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing. Mark Twain was one of our greatest writers, and Fredric March is perhaps America's best actor ever (stage and movies)! Solid and excellent. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review s r It has its moments, but a bit over the top. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Though it is overlong and gets boring at times it serves as an excellent tribute to one of the greatest American authors. Fredric March was perfectly cast and was outstanding in portraying Mark Twain. (First and only viewing - 4/28/2016) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this movie. I'm not sure what others mean by "too long", I could have watched it all day. Sure it is a little syrupy in places but basically, it is a wonderful movie to share with the family and something that will stay in your heart and mind.
