Audience Member It's obvious that that's Mary Pickford, not a little boy. I've never understood why they had women playing boys. It's interesting how she also plays the boys mother, though. Other than that, it's a pretty good movie, the story is dramatic, funny, and cute. It's a family film, that anyone can enjoy. The ending is predictable, but most family movies have endings like that anyway. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightful screen adaptation of this work. Mary Pickford does a wonderful job as both Cedric and his mother. Beautifully filmed in rather lush settings. An absolute joy from the silent film era. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Few words can describe how wonderful and engaging this film is. The imagination and dedication that Pickford had to this film is apparent just by her ability to pull off multiple roles in the same frame with such innovation. A very under-rated gem of silent cinema. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
