I have no idea how anyone can not like these 90s action movies, especially with the iconic actors, set pieces, explosions, fighting, and music. Who cares if they are brainless; they're MOVIES. Not real... If you enjoy action films then this one will be a classic for you as it is for me and countless others. This one is included in the era of Faceoff, Broken Arrow, Con Air, etc. the golden age of action films.

A wonderful throwback to when action movies were just action movies. Any lightness in the t-word plot is quickly filled with the charisma and chemistry of Connery and Cage.

I have to say it was a long time ago since I watched the film last time. It is astonishingly entertaining - done at a time when action movies were exactly that - uncomplicated and entertaining action movies. Sean Connery, Ed Harris and NIcolas Cage deliver entirely, Probably the best thing about the film however are the shots (great cinematography) and the music - in my view its one of the best sounds tracks ever (and excellent for working out). Absolutely can recommend it!

When you break it down and think about it for a minute or so, this movie is one of the great action movies of the era. It has the big stars-Sean Connery, Nic Cage and Ed Harris. It has a good supporting cast-Micheal Biehn, William Forsythe, and many more. Hollywood really brought it's big guns for this movie and it shows. The action is imploding, the stunts are explosive and the plot is just mindblowing. The Rock is known as Alcatraz and this is the perfect popcorn flick on a summer afternoon.
