Mid-way I stopped watching it. I ended up enjoying the absurdity and the campiness of it all and was smiling by the end of the movie. In fact, I saw it twice in the theater. So to all those stuck-up snobby critics who can't shut off their brains for 89 minutes and have a good time, then stick with the films that won't tick you off like something from Merchant Ivory or something. The writing is sub-par, the adaptions of the characters is flawed so badly- it makes Sir Sean Connery look like he wasted his time even being in this movie. Even though it has Sean Connery, Uma Thurman, and Ralph Fiennes are in the movie which are all amazing actors. The storyline was extremely hard to follow. And very confusing. It had a good amount of action, adventure, and comedy. The storyline is fresh and original. Connery, Thurman, and Fiennes all play the characters very well. But even that isn't enough to make this film worth watching more than once. I think the television show was much better. And since Hollywood it's all about remakes & retakes these days this would definitely be one of those movies that would benefit from a remake. See more Read all reviews
