We assume that it’s Jeff looking at all those people [in the opening shot], but it’s not. It’s us. We are the first voyeurs. Go to Full Review

Rear Window is a fascinating film whose tension and trappings enrapture the audience, giving them feelings of dread, inevitability, and relief in a seemingly compact 112-minute package. Go to Full Review

Pamela W 11/25/2024 I feel that any positive reviews given for this film were 1) a vote based on pity for Mr. Reeves or 2) they never saw the original “Rear Window” with Jimmy Stewart. The beginning felt like an infomercial for spinal rejuvenation therapy/cure. I, like everyone, would have celebrated the cure if it had been obtained but the character’s initial challenges took up too much of the introduction of the movie. The movie felt poorly laid out and thoroughly uninteresting. This was not a nail biter like the original. Even without a comparison to the original it was a boring and ill conceived movie. See more Jelisije J @jjosifovic 05/31/2024 An inspiring performance from the Late Great Christopher Reeves, but this was an unnecessary remake and a lesser version of the original 1954 classic. See more Steve D 02/11/2023 Takes too long to get going and when it does it is a poor retread of the original. See more Amy L 10/04/2020 The version they actually showed was the original Hitchcock version, not the 1998 version. We still enjoyed it, just wasn't what we expected (or was advertised). See more Mary 01/31/2020 Interesting and suspenseful See more Cynthia 01/29/2020 Very suspenseful! Loved the actors and scenery! See more Read all reviews
